Tom Brussard, CFA, CFP®

Tom Brussard is the founder of Twin Pillars Wealth Management. He began his career in investment operations before moving into institutional asset management, where he was part of a team managing billions of dollars in index-based investment strategies — learning how large-scale portfolios are built, structured, and maintained with precision.

After completing the CFA program, he felt a pull to bring that same level of rigor into a more personal setting — where financial decisions are tied directly to people, families, and the lives they’re building. That shift led him into financial planning and ultimately to the creation of Twin Pillars.

Financial planning often becomes most meaningful during life’s most uncertain moments. In 2016, his daughter was born prematurely and spent several months in the neonatal intensive care unit. During that time, his family experienced firsthand the extraordinary dedication and compassion of the medical professionals who cared for her. That experience reinforced something important: life is unpredictable, and thoughtful planning can provide stability when it matters most.

That perspective isn’t theoretical — it continues to shape how he approaches this work today, grounded in the realities families navigate and the importance of being prepared for the unexpected.

Financial decisions are rarely just about numbers — they’re connected to the people we care about and the future we’re working to protect.

Tom lives in Massachusetts with his family. Being a husband and father has deeply influenced how he thinks about this work. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, cooking, and reading.

Twin Pillars Wealth Management operates with the support of the broader Parkland platform,
which provides institutional resources and leadership across several key areas.
